Skin-safe, realistic, and easy to apply.
Experience true tattoo realism that fades naturally when you’re ready.
You want people to stop and ask, “Who is your artist?” You don’t want a cartoon. You don’t want a sticker. You want depth. You want shadow. You are looking for realism temporary tattoos.
This is the hardest style to fake. It requires shading. It requires 3D perception.
You want a photorealistic fake tattoo of a lion? We have it. You want a hyper realism portrait that looks like it’s breathing? We have those too.
We are Australia’s local experts. We ship from Brisbane. We don’t drop-ship. We pack it here.
Express takes 1–4 days. Standard takes 3–7 days. Spend $50? I pay the shipping.
The Reality Check. Realism relies on illusion.
It uses light and shadow to trick the eye into thinking a 2D image is 3D.
Visual Technique: Standard stickers usually fail at this because they look flat. We fixed that.
Our printing uses a “greyscale” gradient that mimics the way tattoo ink fades into skin. We print the shadows slightly lighter, so when they sit on your skin tone, they blend.
However, placement is key. A 3D spider looks real on a flat shoulder. It looks fake on a wrinkly elbow.
The History: From Portraits to Hyper-Realism Realism is a relatively new style in tattoo history.
Old school needles were too thick for detail. In the 1970s and 80s, tattoo machines improved. Artists started doing black-and-grey portraits (mostly Chicano style in prisons).
Then came color realism. Now, we have “Micro-Realism”—tiny, incredibly detailed tattoos.
The Problem with Real Ink Real micro-realism tattoos heal poorly. The ink spreads (blowout) over 5 years. That crisp portrait turns into a blob.
Our Advantage: A realism temporary tattoo never blows out. It stays crisp for the entire 2 weeks. You get the “fresh ink” look without the “healed blob” risk.
The Aesthetic: Depth & Shading This style isn’t about lines. It’s about values.
Portraiture Faces. Movie characters. Animals. A portrait tattoo needs to capture the soul.
Our high-resolution printing captures every eyelash. Every wrinkle. It creates depth.
3D Objects Spiders. Butterflies casting a shadow. Ripped skin effects.
These designs include a “drop shadow” in the print. When you apply it, it looks like the object is sitting on your skin, or coming out of it. It is a visual trick.
Nature Realism Flowers that look like photographs, not drawings. Wolves with individual fur strands. This is hyper realism art.
Sticker vs. Semi-Permanent (Realism Edition) This is the most important choice you will make.
Option 1: Standard Ink (The Photo Choice) Pros: Capable of printing “White” ink highlights (which make eyes look wet/shiny). Capable of full color photorealism.
Cons: The surface texture can give it away if you don’t powder it. Best for: Color portraits and 3D spiders.
Option 2: Semi-Permanent (The “Grey Wash” Choice) Pros: This is the king of Black & Grey realism. Because it stains the skin, the lighter areas of the tattoo blend perfectly with your natural skin tone. It creates a “soft” edge, just like a real shading needle. It looks exactly like healed black-and-grey work.
Cons: Cannot do color. Cannot do white highlights. Best for: Black and grey lions, wolves, and skulls.
Placement: The Flat Canvas Realism distorts easily. If you stretch a photo of a face, it looks weird.
The Thigh The best canvas for large portraits. It is flat. It is wide. A realism lion head here looks incredible.
The Inner Forearm Great for smaller 3D objects (spiders, butterflies). It is protected from friction.
The “Distortion” Risk Do not put a realism portrait on your bicep if you have big muscles. When you flex, the face will widen. The eyes will stretch. It looks funny, not cool.
Stick to flat, non-stretching areas for faces.
Application: The “Matte” Rule Realism dies if it shines.
Real skin has texture. Plastic does not. If your “realism” wolf shines like a plastic bag, the illusion is broken.
The Protocol: Shave: Essential. Hair ruins the 3D effect. Apply: Use the wet sponge method. Wait: Let it dry completely. Mattify: You must use translucent powder.
This removes the glare. It helps the “shadow” parts of the tattoo recede visually. It creates that velvet, matte finish of real skin.

FAQ: Realism Style Q: Does it look pixelated? No.
We use HD printing. Cheap tattoos look like old newspapers (dots). Ours look like 4K photos. The gradient is smooth.
Q: How do I make the 3D effect work? Lighting matters.
The “drop shadow” in the tattoo assumes light is coming from above. The effect looks best when you are standing under overhead light. It looks weird if the light is coming from below (like a campfire).
Q: Can I get a realism sleeve? Yes.
We sell full “Realism” sleeves. Usually religious themes (angels, clouds, doves) or jungle themes (lions, tigers). It gives you a full sleeve instantly.

These temporary tattoos are so easy to apply. Literally just a quick wet cloth, and they’re on! Only downside is that a few designs didn’t transfer fully, but they were still cute.
