The High-Friction Collection: Hand Temporary Tattoos
You want visibility. You want attitude. You want the ink right where everyone can see it. You are looking for hand temporary tattoos.
This is the boldest placement you can choose. It says you don’t care about hiding it. You want finger tattoos? We have them. You want knuckle tattoos that spell out a message? We have those too.
We are Australia’s local experts. We ship from Brisbane. Express takes 1-4 days. You get your ink fast.
The Reality Check.
I need to be honest with you. The hand is a high friction area. You wash your hands ten times a day. You use hand sanitizer. You reach into your pockets. Physics applies. A tattoo on your bicep lasts 1-2 weeks. A tattoo on your finger will NOT last that long. Expect 3-5 days of perfection before it starts to fade. If you want fade resistant results on hands, you need to be careful.
Sticker vs. Semi-Permanent (Hand Edition)
Choice matters more here than anywhere else.
Option 1: Standard Ink (Stickers) These are the small hand tattoos that sit on top of the skin. Upside: Instant color. Sharp lines. Downside: Because they are a layer on the skin, they can peel if you catch them on a pocket. Best for: A night out. Photos. Events.
Option 2: Semi-Permanent (Sinks In) This is the better option for hands. The ink sinks into the skin. It doesn’t peel. It fades. It withstands hand washing better than stickers. However, because the skin on your hands turns over faster, it will fade faster than on your arm. It gives you that gritty, lived-in look.
Placement Strategy: Fingers vs. Back of Hand
Where you put it determines how long it survives.
Finger Tattoos These look incredible. Minimalist lines. Dots. Letters. The Risk: The sides of your fingers rub together. That friction kills ink. The Fix: Place them on the top of the knuckle, not the side.
Back of Hand The prime real estate. It is a flatter surface. It stretches less. Bold lines work best here. Use a statement piece like a rose or a geometric shape. It lasts longer than finger placement.
Sizing: Keep It Small
The hand moves constantly. If you put a giant, solid sheet of ink across your knuckles, it will crack when you make a fist. You need flexibility. Small hand tattoos work best. Choose designs with “negative space” (gaps in the ink). This allows the skin to stretch without breaking the image.
Knuckle Tattoos Sizing is critical. You need the letters to fit the phalanx (the bone section). Too big, and it wraps into the crease. Too small, and it’s unreadable. Our packs are sized specifically for average hands.
Application: The “Dry” Rule
Applying to hands is tricky. Your hands are naturally oily. If you apply ink over natural oils, it falls off in 24 hours.
The Protocol:
Wash your hands with dish soap (it cuts grease better than hand soap).
Dry them completely. Wait 10 minutes.
Use an alcohol wipe on the spot.
Apply the tattoo.
Crucial: Do not wash your hands for at least 2 hours after application.
For standard stickers, use translucent makeup powder to kill the shine and reduce stickiness.

FAQ
Q: Will hand sanitizer ruin it? Alcohol dissolves adhesive. If you use sanitizer directly on a standard sticker, it will melt. Semi-permanent ink is more resistant, but alcohol still strips the skin oils, which speeds up fading.
Q: Can I wear gloves? Yes. Actually, gloves help protect the tattoo from friction. Just make sure the tattoo is fully dry (or developed) before putting gloves on.
Q: Do finger tattoos hurt? Real ones hurt like hell. Ours are painless. Get the look of a knuckle tattoo without the bone-rattling pain.
Q: How do I remove it? Hands are easy. Standard: Olive oil and a textured cloth. Semi-Perm: Salt scrub. Since hand skin exfoliates fast, hot water and scrubbing will remove it faster than other body parts.

These temporary tattoos are so easy to apply. Literally just a quick wet cloth, and they’re on! Only downside is that a few designs didn’t transfer fully, but they were still cute.
